In 2016, the Joint Gender Fund, in its attempt to look at documenting work within the GBV sector in South Africa, advertised a call to all partners who had been funded by the JGF between 2010 and 2015 to submit proposals setting out the documentation process of their projects. It called on partners to propose ways in which we could deepen our understanding of what works in the field of community based gender-based violence programming through providing in depth documenting of indigenous interventions. Specifically, the programme sought to enable partner organisations to rigorously document a community programme intervention in order to demonstrate its success. The Hlanganisa Institute for Development in Southern Africa is proud to share some of the documentation that resulted from the project here.
